Yeah that’s a very valid point Julia. I didn’t mention it in this article because I wanted to stay focussed on the internal psychological aspect of design work. I’ve definitely experience projects where I felt the end result was too big a compromise do to a client request I didn’t agree with, and not the best design outcome despite my best efforts to convince my client otherwise. However I’ve also learned that as you gain more experience and reputation in the industry, that scenario happens less and less, because your clients trust and respect your advice more.
