Why, as a freelancer, can’t you form relationships based on shared values and write about what you’re interested in?

Running your own business shouldn’t be an obstacle to attracting work which fulfills you. In fact, it should be aiding that goal.

I’ve been a freelance designer for 20 years and freelancing is precisely why the work I’m doing now is so rewarding.

When you’re early in your freelance career there’s definitely a stage where you have to take every opportunity even if it doesn’t align perfectly with you interests. And during this time it can feel like you’re a slave to many bosses.

If you have the patience to ride that out and let your reputation and business mature, you’ll find freelancing becomes very fulfilling.
