Totally agree with this, especially about buzzwords and tools. Being a good designer has far more to do with how you think, how you problem solve, your creative process, your knowledge of design fundamentals, your communication style, etc.

Your proficiency with a certain software tool is so far down the list of importance it’s barely worth mentioning. Shows how lazy cut and paste recruiters are.
