Tim, I like the main points you are making. But, it comes from a narrow point of view. There are plenty of ways people “make money online” besides content creation (which relies on advertising for income). I provide high-value services to my clients and my business is doing as well as ever. In fact, last month was one of my highest-ever, even during the strict L4 lockdown we’ve had in NZ.

Content creators are probably the ones who like to write about their methods for making money more than other types of online businesses, so in that respect, yes there are fewer people peddling get rich quick stories now. But there are plenty of us with our heads down keeping focus on our businesses and families and we’re still successful. We just don’t have the time or need to write about it.
