It’s the pinnacle of freelancing. Every freelancer wants as much of their time as possible to actually do their work, and as little as possible on all the other things required to run a business.

That’s often why people fail at freelancing (they underestimate the business side). And it’s an easy way to measure freelance success.

Are clients coming to me instead of me chasing them? If yes, you’re doing something right.

Am I making more money without working longer or harder? That’s success.

Is my job giving me the flexibility to enjoy everything else in life outside of work? That’s success.
