Love the "homads" term. I've been a digital homad for 20 years. Much of the world population have become digital homads due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns.

Being a digital homad isn't only about currency arbitrage though. I choose to do it for a handful of other reasons, none of which have to due with gaining global clients or making more money than I could locally. In fact, most of my clients remain local, even though I rarely meet them face-to-face and could do the work from anywhere.

Digital homadism is about total control of your routine and priorities. It's about not wasting time commuting. It's about running your own business and choosing your ideal clients. No, it's not as glamorous as working from a beach in Bali, but it affords you the same level of professional freedom combined with the ability to establish roots in one place, raise a family, etc.

It's the only way I'll ever work.
