I've been freelancing for 20 years, and I can't help but disagree with most of what you say.

A lot of people who complain about freelancing don't like it because they are doing it wrong. For example, you said you get clients on Fiverr and Upwork. That right there tells me you're starting off from the wrong place. Huge red flag. Those platforms are a cesspool of bad clients and crap projects. No wonder you felt bored doing unimportant work!

The truth is, anyone who wants to make a career out of freelancing usually starts from a place of desperation where you have to take what you can get and not all the work is interesting. But, like anything, if you stick with it long enough to get over the hump - and become an expert in the process - it gets much much better. You earn the right to say "no" and only choose work that you find interesting and aligns with your most valuable skills.

If you quit while you're still in the first stage of freelancing you haven't even seen the good side of it yet.
