I wouldn’t really change the way I market myself. For most of my clients, I still operate remotely but I do have the option of meeting them in person if necessary.
Make an effort to have a more intimate first impression than just an email. Voice or video call. Get a sense for how they speak, and how they talk about business and design (and let them get the same sense from you). You build a far more trusting relationship from that kind of connection because it’s very hard to gauge those nuances from email alone.
