I stand 50–75% of the day. Buying my height adjustable desk was the single best business purchase I’ve made. I used to get regular neck, shoulder, and back tightness and pain from all the sitting. Its been completely eliminated since standing more. So my love of the standing desk has nothing to do with fear of Diabetes, but it is definately a good health decision. But it must be noted that even standing needs to be in moderation. I never stand all day.
