I love how you've approached this article with AI Agent as a persona. However, I don't think the answer to this question is elusive. Computer use technology is a good gap-filler that allows AI to interact with legacy software. But it's absolutely not going to be the future, when agents can interact directly with APIs, data, and tools in a far more efficient manner. If we're thinking about designing the new paradigm of human-computer interaction, AI agents will certainly be a big part of our user experience, but they won't be users of the "interface" in the way that humans will continue to be.
