I had many of the same thoughts while reading parts of that report. It’s the same complaint I have that everyone measures the success of an economy by GDP growth. The growth and profit mindset has taken over everything. I’m glad that even by that measure the report makes a strong case for design, but as you’ve repeatedly mentioned there are so many other — perhaps even more important — less tangible reasons design adds value to business. Thanks for this perspective. It really resonates with how I felt.
