Hi-if wireframes have always been useless. I cringe whenever I see someone else’s wireframe deliverables that just look like a monochrome version of the final UI design.

But you may be too quick to dismiss low-fi wireframes that are a bit more polished than paper scribbles. I’ve found wireframes created with apps like Balsamic very useful on some projects. They seem to fall half way between your definitions of low and high fidelity. Do you think there’s never value in this type of digital low-fi wireframe design?
