Derko this is a good point that was also brought up in another group I shared this to. And the answer is, both. Both Project and Product management have a lot of cross-over skills: Organisation, communication, biz strategy, etc.

My main intention with this article was discussing Project Management, but the same applies to Product Management. A designer who’s a product manager is basically described as a Product Designer, and we all know that those types of designers are the most valuable, and that skillset is becoming the new expectation.

Coming from a freelance world I also know that Project Management is an absolute necessity and I see more and more of those skills becoming expected for employees as well.
