As a perfectionist, I really appreciate this article because it eloquently describes something I believe in but haven’t be able to properly describe in my own words. “Done” only counts if it’s done well enough to achieve its purpose. As you very rightly point out, done average or poorly may actually be worse than not done at all. I’m a firm believer in doing things once and doing them right. That doesn’t mean perfect, and it doesn’t mean done forever. But if you’re going to do a half-assed job why do it at all?
